The History of MyKI
Our Studio was created in 2007 in response to our families desire to spend more time together. We joined our creative energies to set a positive goal we could all work towards. The love we have for our children, travel & festivals led us to realize our dream of working for ourselves so that we could benefit others. From this spirit, we created MyKI.
We had no idea that doing something we loved to do could impact so many people. Many of our clients ask for more than one of our business cards because they had no idea that carrying one of our handbags meant they were now walking advertisements for MyKI. Our clients have so many similar stories, they all say they can't go anywhere without being stopped and asked, "Pardon me ma'am, may I ask where you purchased your bag?"
Our scrapbooking products were introduced in 2009. As avid scrap bookers, we wanted to offer our unique, handmade embellishments to scrap bookers everywhere. We also cheerfully share our site with talented artists from all over the globe giving them a stage to share their handmade embellishments with you.
Our Purpose in Life
To create unique products designed with unique individuals in mind. To make people happy and deliver a quality product at the lowest possible cost to our clients. To give back to our community and help others in need.
Where Our Creative Juices Flow
Our Design Studio is in Riverview, Florida but folks all over the world carry our bags and scrapbook pages all over the globe can been seen sporting our unique, handmade embellishments. Artists that sell their products on MyKI dot the United States map from coast to coast.
The Real Reason We Do What We Do
In the summer of 2004 our oldest son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism. Since his diagnosis we have spent countless hours researching Autism and talking to other parents whose children and lives have also been affected by Autism. We have traveled from one doctor to the next looking for treatments & answers. While we now understand his disorder and are learning how to help him manage, there is still no known cure. No one treatment is an exact science. That is why we are committed to those that are committed to finding a cure and servicing the needs of our special children. Half of all profits received from the sale of our Special Addition Autism Awareness Items will go directly to Autism Research.
